to Order
The meeting of the
65th Westercon was called to order at 11 a.m. in SeaTac, Washington.
2. Committee
Reports
There were no
active committees to report to the Business Meeting.
3. Pending
Bylaw Amendments
There were no amendments passed by the
Westercon 64 Business Meeting.
4.
New Business
There were no bylaw amendments passed by the
Westercon 65 Business Meeting to be passed on to Westercon 66 for ratification.
5.
Announcements
Since site selection was moving smoothly and
quietly, and since there is no requirement to hold a
site selection business meeting, that meeting was cancelled. The site selection
administrator was directed to announce the winner as soon as ballots are
counted.
If a dispute had arisen or the site selection
administrator decided a meeting was required, such meeting would be announced
during the Saturday night masquerade and in the newsletter, if possible.

Westercon 65 Business Meeting
The results of Westercon 67 Site Selection were announced on July 7, 2012 as follows. No ballots were received by mail. Only one ballot was cast on Thursday, so the results for the first two days were combined in the totals.

The polls closed at 5 PM Saturday. Ballot-counting was complete and the results declared official at 5:28 PM. Because site selection balloting produced a definitive result, there was no Site Selection Business Meeting on Sunday at Westercon 65 in Seattle.
The 2014 Westercon will be Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Marriott Downtown at City Creek, Salt Lake City, Utah. Their Guests of Honor will be Cory Doctorow, the Writing Excuses team (Mary Robinette Kowal, Brandon Sanderson, Howard Tayler, and Dan Wells), and Christopher J. Garcia.
