In a statement published on September 11, 2023, Arline Busby, Chair of what would have been Westercon 75 in Anaheim, California, made an announcement regarding membership and dealer refunds.

In her statement, Busby said, “Westercon 75 is proud to announce that all membership refunds have been issued. All those members that have requested that there membership monies be transferred to Loscon 49 has been completed. All those Dealers that requested refunds have been issued. Any Dealers that requested that there fees be transferred to Loscon 49 have been completed. We thank everyone for their support and patience in getting all these transactions processed. Westercon 75 was originally scheduled to be held June 30-July 3, 2023 in Anaheim, California, but this event was cancelled in an announcement on May 9, 2023 and Westercon 75’s official functions were transferred to the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society and will be held as part of Loscon 49 on November 24-26, 2023 in Los Angeles. Members of Westercon 75 were offered the options of having their memberships refunded, passed along to Loscon 49, or donated to help pay remaining debts of the original Westercon 75 committee.
