Mail Ballot Deadline for 2021 Westercon is June 29

The deadline for ballots cast by postal mail to determine the site of 2021 Westercon (Westercon 74) is June 29, 2019. SpikeCon/Westercon 72 must receive ballots cast by postal mail by June 29 to assure that they are counted.

You can vote in the Westercon 74 site selection in three possible ways:

  • In person at SpikeCon: Site Selection voting will be open at SpikeCon on Thursday and Friday only. Voting closes at 7 PM Mountain Daylight Time on Friday, July 5.
  • By postal mail: Download the 2021 Westercon Site Selection ballot from the SpikeCon web site, fill it out, and mail it to SpikeCon. If you are a member (attending or supporting) of SpikeCon, you must include your membership number or SpikeCon will not count your ballot. If you do not know your membership number, contact registration@spikecon.org to obtain it. If you are not a member of SpikeCon, include a separate payment to SpikeCon to purchase a supporting membership. Payment must be by check or money order; credit cards are not accepted. Voting is by paper ballot by postal mail only. No e-mail ballots will be accepted. SpikeCon must receive your ballot by June 29, 2019.
  • Delivered by agent: If you are not going to attend SpikeCon, you can send your ballot with someone else to deliver on your behalf. If you include payment for a supporting membership, tell your agent to take your ballot to SpikeCon Registration to purchase a supporting membership and get a membership number from Registration before delivering your ballot to Site Selection. If you are already a SpikeCon member, you must include your SpikeCon membership number as with a postal ballot; however, if you cannot find your number, ask your agent to go to Registration and have them locate your membership number before they deliver the ballot to Site Selection. As noted above, the deadline for voting is Friday, July 5, at 7 PM MDT.

The results of Westercon site selection will be officially announced at the Westercon Business Meeting on the morning of Saturday, July 6, 2019.
